The Company
Our client is developing an LSAW pipe mill in the United Arab Emirates.

Position und Aufgabenschwerpunkte:

Job Objective
Lead review of detail engineering of the project from maintenance perspective during EPC stage with the support of automation, mechanical and electrical engineers. Manage the team and ensure high level of availability and reliability of the plant during normal operation. Develop and implement best in class sourcing and preventive, predictive and shut down maintenance philosophies.

Job Specifics

Work with the Head of Technology, during basic engineering; finalize the plant design from maintenance perspective. Review and finalize detail engineering documents with the support of Automation, Mechanical and Electrical Engineers from maintenance and operability stand point.
Manage engineers in a professional manner and communicate effectively with internal and external teams (PMC and EPC). Develop the maintenance strategy in consultation with Head of Technology and Operation Manager. Maintenance strategy shall include sourcing, planning and Predictive, Preventive and Shut down maintenance philosophy for the organization. Develop manpower deployment and training plan for the department in consultation with the Head of Technology and the Operation Manager, by taking in to account of trainings offered by EPC and overall schedule. Develop periodical activities according to maintenance planning program. Conduct all aspects of maintenance department independently in alignment with Head of Technology or General Manager. Reduce maintenance cost by constantly enhancing precision of maintenance activities. Develop lagging and leading performance indicators for the department to ensure high availability and reliability of the plant, to meet the expectation of operations department and overall cost reductions. Develop departmental budget. Ensure accurate and quality reporting. Develop training and development plan for the department in consultation with HR Manager. Develop benchmarks and improve maintenance processes/systems continuously.

Job Context
The MM reports to the Head of Technology during initial stages of the project execution and then to General Manager (GM). MM consults Head of Technology or GM or Production Manager on all critical aspects of the section. MM shall be the leading authority under Head of Technology or GM, responsible for the maintenance function.


Profil

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor degree in electrical or mechanical engineering (or equivalent advanced degree)
Post-graduation electrical or mechanical engineering (preferred, not mandatory)
Experience
15 years of experience in maintenance field in an industrial plant, including 5 years in an LSAW pipe mill or 10 years of experience in maintenance field in an LSAW pipe mill. Experience in developing maintenance set up in a new organization. Thorough knowledge with respect to key maintenance issues in an LSAW plant. Prior experience in dealing with PMC, EPC and large equipment manufacturers during project developments, startup and normal operation Experience shall include managing after sales services of large industrial installations. Good network/contacts in the business (vendors, associations, EPCs). Prior experience in managing large teams. Preparation and implementation of maintenance strategy for the LSAW pipe mill (Preventive, predictive and shutdown).
